Primary Talent Partners has a 7-month contract IT Project Manager onsite opening with a large Financial Institution based in Jersey City, NJ.
Pay: $800 to $845 per day W2 - We cannot support C2C candidates
Contract: 7 Months, potential for extension or conversion based on performance, budget, and business needs
Job Description::
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver key projects in the Global Banking sector. This role requires a professional with deep expertise in project management and a thorough understanding of Global Banking operations.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead assigned projects to successful completion, delivering on agreed objectives.
Project Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to Group Policies and Procedures, with a focus on proper governance.
Scope Stabilization: Identify and define the business topics that need to be addressed and resolved.
Stakeholder Engagement: Obtain buy-in from key project stakeholders and sponsors.
Problem Solving: Leverage expertise to propose solutions at each project phase.
Communication & Coordination: Maintain project lists, organize follow-up meetings, and distribute meeting minutes. Ensure transparent communication of goals, budget, risks, and progress.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Front Office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and other teams to meet project objectives.
Conflict Management: Navigate situations of conflict and constraints to ensure project success.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Global Banking Experience: Strong expertise in Front Office and Operations within the Global Banking industry, either functionally or in a project management capacity.
Project Management Expertise: Deep knowledge of project management concepts, including planning, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict and collaborate effectively.
Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new processes, multi-task, and manage various project aspects.
Analytical Ability: Capable of analyzing complex situations (issues, people, processes) and proposing actionable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in the Global Banking industry.
