Seeking for a Hardware Automation Engineer with (RAID) and Go programming. The role is on-site in Clifton, NJ from day one
The client is looking for a Hardware Automation Engineer specifically focusing on storage systems (RAID) and Go programming. The candidate should have experience working with Linux storage, rack-mounted servers, and a solid understanding of scripting and CI systems. Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork values are equally important.
Key Requirements:
Hardware Expertise:
Linux RAID Configuration:
Experience with RAID setups and configurations on Linux using tools like mdadm.
Familiarity with configuring storage devices such as USB, SATA, and PCIe.
Hardware Systems Design:
Ability to design resilient and maintainable hardware systems, likely involving storage arrays or server racks.
Experience working with rack-mounted servers, and ideally performing maintenance on them.
Software Expertise:
Go Programming:
Strong experience in Go (Golang) programming for developing, reading, and debugging code.
Shell & Git:
Proficient in shell scripting and familiar with Git for version control.
Continuous Integration (CI) Systems:
Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools, ideally GitHub Actions for automating workflows.
Additional experience with configuration management, PXE boot, and Ubuntu is a plus.
Communication and Collaboration:
Team Collaboration:
Strong communication skills to work across multiple teams.
Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation in English.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working in an asynchronous hybrid environment, meaning both on-site and remote collaboration.

Ability to quickly learn and pivot when faced with new challenges, as well as proactively identify and address potential roadblocks.
