Senior Traffic/ITS Engineer
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, self-driven, highly talented Professional Engineer to join a large, dynamic, and highly technical team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Franklin, TN office. This position requires knowledge in a variety of Traffic Engineering and ITS disciplines including planning, design, architecture, and communications. The successful candidate will also need to be able to aid in the continued growth of this department through development of junior staff, provision of client service, and assistance with marketing efforts. You'll also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge projects that utilize the latest technologies for improving all modes of transportation. To be successful you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical oversight/support
Plan and manage tasks and project team members
Coordinate with other disciplines
Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub consultants in the various assignments
Lead the engineering efforts for traffic engineering reports and studies
Lead the engineering efforts for traffic signal design projects, ITS planning and design projects; including following the owner agency's plan development process for preliminary/ROW/construction plans
Travel within Tennessee as required to serve the clients and projects - Periodic travel to clients in other states may also be required
Perform other related duties as assigned
