Overview:
We are searching for a friendly, customer-oriented Network Engineer to provide front line services to the company’s ever-expanding client base. A candidate will work with clients to install, maintain, and troubleshoot various network and IT related elements in a skilled and professional manner. An engineer plays an active role in the development of our customer’s infrastructure strategy, architecture, service delivery standards and best practices. They also work in collaboration with other internal Managed Services team members as well as customer third party vendors.  Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and performing software upgrades as required.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired. 

This position is available as fulltime WFH, Hybrid or in office at the Jacksonville, FL, Coraopolis, PA or Irvine, CA locations.  

 

Duties:
A candidate will be able to provide setup and support for the enterprise network hardware, software and SDWAN appliances. They will demonstrate advanced knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, and SDWAN, as well as basic Azure networking and basic ?rewalling. 
Responsibilities include:
• Work pro-actively, independently, goal-oriented and demonstrate initiative as well as the ability to work under pressure while delivering high-quality work products.
• Maintain network LAN/WAN infrastructures and monitor performance
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, traffic flow and other network and system problems.
• Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
• Participate in enterprise wide incident response calls to troubleshoot issues as they arise. 
• Willingness to take part in an on-call support rotation outside of working hours, as well as working on weekends to implement changes on critical production environments when required.
• Evaluate client systems and recommend upgrades.
• Perform in-house, on-site and remote computer and network services.
• Act as lead engineer and point of technical contact on assigned projects.
• Create and maintain documentation and diagrams for client’s networks.
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
• Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
• Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.

 

Education:
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field.  Comparable IT industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree and certifications 
• 2+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Current Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or other IT networking certifications is preferred.

Experience:
• Experience with enterprise-level network design, engineering, and administration.
• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP), switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, Spanning Tree), SD WAN, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
• Experience with common networking devices such as routers, switches, and fabric interconnects. Commonly used brands include VeloCloud, Arista, Infoblox, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper and Palo Alto.
• Experience interfacing with customer point of contacts to evaluate networking needs or requirements and explain technical terms to non-technical users or stakeholders. 
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
• Excellent analytical skills in the analysis of technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills in contact with carriers, colleagues and customers in the troubleshooting process as well as the willingness to work in teams. 
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, ?rewall, routers, switches, and controllers. 
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Ability to work with all levels of sta? within and outside of IT.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a global enterprise team environment.
• Network security experience is a plus.

Additional Information:
Occasional travel to datacenter & office locations may be required.
