IT Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who will join a team responsible for supporting technology. Our client strives to provide exceptional technology advisory, delivery, and optimized shared services to each of its brands. One of the most important requirements of this role is to drive visibility and collaboration across all of the brands for a specific system or business process / capability. A business systems analyst will understand each brand’s implementation of system capabilities and strive to bring all brands together to share learnings, develop a unified system roadmap and technology priorities, and consolidate system needs into one voice, especially when working with key vendors or partners.

A business systems analyst is also responsible for meeting current operational requirements, with the sustainable use of current capabilities, and the development of future capabilities, to meet the sometimes competing strategic and current operational objectives across the brands. This role will provide technical and functional solutions by translating business processes into system configuration and solution requirements and scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost- effective manner.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the brands to understand their unique challenges and goals as it relates to a specific business capability and provide technology advisory services, resolve business systems problems, and identify potential improvements

Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops. Effectively use interviewing skills to elicit, identify, and document business requirements

Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases

Develop and execute a comprehensive technology capability roadmap that aligns with the brands’ objectives

Lead the evaluation and recommendation of advanced technologies, tools, and methodologies to address brands’ specific challenges for a business process or system

Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and external service providers

Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the most suitable resources and services

Perform hands-on solution design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, process design and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects

Act as a liaison between technical teams, functional team, brands, and vendors to drive implementations

Perform gap analysis: as-is vs to-be

Assess the risks of various solutions 

Clearly articulate the impact of business problems and benefits using business language

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field

8+ years of IT experience in large or mid-size multinational company

3+ years architecture/technical/functional/configuration experience

Ability to collaborate with business leads, understand business strategy/processes, look for innovative solutions to drive business enhancements for internal business users and external customers

Strong influence and negotiating skills

Experience leading business relationships and integration
