What You'll Do:
We are currently seeking a Network Systems Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the enterprise network. This hybrid role is responsible for resolving network system issues of medium to high complexity. As a primary point of contact for our internal customers, the Network Systems Analyst is expected to triage and resolve a multitude of different primary systems and networking needs (switches, routers, sd-wan technology, and general network administration), incorporating best IT practices and excellent customer service until a resolution is met. The Network Systems Analyst will also be a mentor to the Technical Support Analysts on the team.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Configure Cisco Network switches; Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing

Configure and support wireless access points, Aruba and Cisco

Vulnerability remediation: Perform IOS and software updates on network equipment as needed

Respond to network issues as directed by manager

Responsible for daily monitoring of OTRS trouble ticket queue, responding according to IT Service Level Agreement

Provide support on telephony and network related applications

Responsible for making basic device configuration changes and working with end users to troubleshoot network and security related issues

Answer inbound calls and emails from technical peers (Network Administrators/Application Owners), respond to requests, and create/update tickets for all work

Meet service level agreements related to change processing and incident resolution

Remotely access managed devices via in-band and out of band connections

Retain ownership of escalated issues and work to resolution

Work closely with peers to identify gaps and areas of improvement in training

Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills by documenting all activities within our client delivery system and communicating with the client in a timely manner

Plan for and support the data network and the interface to wide area network

Physical copper and fiber cabling

Manage and/or participate in any additional projects, assignments, or initiatives as assigned

Zscaler Private Access & Internet Security project work and support

What We're Looking For :
This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. We are seeking candidates with 2+ years’ experience in a network environment and knowledge of PC networks and LAN/WAN infrastructure. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

 

Other qualifications include:

CCNA certification a plus

VMware training or certification

Networking expertise and understanding of the OSI model, including routing principles and networking fundamentals, well known protocols and services, ARP/NAT, and command line interfaces

Basic understanding of other IT-related functions

Solid communications and interpersonal skills

Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve

Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external customers and vendors

Weekend and/or evening availability as needed

Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation
