DevOps Architect

Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious health insurance company, in their search for a DevOps Architect. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA (Onsite).
A DevOps Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DevOps processes that drive the software delivery lifecycle. This includes automating the deployment pipeline, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring that security, scalability, and performance standards are met. The role requires a strong understanding of both development (Dev) and operations (Ops) aspects, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Over 7+ years of experience in DevOps, systems architecture, or software development.
Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and managing large-scale infrastructure.
Proficiency with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with microservices architecture and deployment strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment of applications.
Ensure efficient version control, artifact management, and release workflows.
Design and implement infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Architect scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments.
Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage resources, optimize costs, and ensure compliance.
Implement logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure the health and performance of applications.
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and infrastructure issues.
Develop automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate manual tasks.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and deployments.
Preferred Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
Google Professional DevOps Engineer.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
Key Tools and Technologies:
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Travis CI.
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
Containers and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk.
Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $85/hour to $95/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
