Software Engineer RoR (Ruby on Rails)

Location: Highly preferred Raleigh, NC area (1 day a week onsite)

Duration: Long term

Status: GC,USC, H4EAD, GCEAD

This resources will be working on a high-visibility project within the Security and Trust Organization.

Requirements:

As a Software Engineer, you will need to have a firm understanding of Software Architecture and development concepts with the ability to tackle challenges by taking the initiative and assuming ownership of development tasks and activities. We are looking for candidates with:

· MS (preferred) or BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

· 5+ yrs. of experience in software engineering, in Ruby on Rails programming language.

· Possess a deep understanding of Web APIs and micro-service patterns and have experience building and consuming RESTful web services.

· Linux (3+ years).

· Experience with MySQL or other relational database management systems.

· Experience with NoSQL database information access and development.

· Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and fosters multi-functional team communications.

Nice to have:

· Experience with infrastructure and systems engineering and scaling services on the cloud.

· Architecture & design for optimizing applications' performance.

· Cloud deployment experience (GCP, AWS, Azure, Docker)

· Full-stack development experience is a plus
