Job Description
Server and Cloud Test Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Server and Cloud Test Engineer to join our innovative team. As a Server and Cloud Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies and methodologies for server and cloud-based applications and services. This role requires deep expertise in server technologies, cloud platforms, and testing frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of server and cloud-based applications and services.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency, leveraging industry-standard tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or similar.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, define test objectives, and identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing of server and cloud-based applications to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and areas for optimization.
Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and collaborate with development teams to prioritize and address defects in a timely manner.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in server and cloud computing, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our testing capabilities.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, to ensure quality is built into the software development lifecycle.
Mentor junior test engineers, providing guidance on testing best practices, automation techniques, and quality assurance methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on server and cloud-based applications and services.
Proven expertise in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for server and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JMeter, Gatling, or similar.
Solid understanding of server technologies, including operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), and database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including familiarity with cloud services and deployment models.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
