Responsibilities
Under supervision and guidance of the Project Manager / PMO, the Business Analyst will work alongside members of the Program Office(s) to perform the following:
• Schedule and lead As Is and To Be sessions with program area(s) in order to understand current and future state business processes.
• Document As Is and To Be states using a variety of business analysis techniques, including workflows, business process models, mockups, wireframes, SWOT, MoSCoW, etc, in order to meet future state business needs.
• Iteratively review requirements and documents with program area(s) in order to elicit feedback and timely approvals from stakeholder teams.
• Analyze business processes and functions across multiple programs and identify any gaps in order to ensure cohesive business and technical solutions.
• Work comfortably in a hybrid Agile environment and actively manage requirements and change orders, and ensure testing needs are updated along the way.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions, daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions and other meetings.
• Create/update user stories and acceptance criteria for all business, functional and non-functional requirements (F/NFR), including workflows, business rules, use cases, wireframes, activity & sequence diagrams.
• Become subject matter expert (SME) and act as point of contact for all requirements questions and clarifications for all stakeholders: developers, testers, business team, vendors, management, PMO and end users.
• Utilize database management knowledge to work on relational databases for writing queries, extracting data, and other data management functions.
• Validate/verify requirements throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) and ensure all changes are captured in requirements and user stories.
• Become a subject matter expert (SME) for the proposed system and involved business processes/rules.
• Support QA/Testing by developing timely test plans, detailed test cases, done/acceptance criteria, end-user testing and deliverables validation.
• Ability to translate complex technical terms into business language and explain to non-technical teams, and vice versa.
• Coordinate among business and technical teams to identify and resolve issues that arise during the project. "
Skills Needed
· 84 months experience in requirements elaboration, business analysis and validation, and translating into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, using a variety of business analysis techniques (workflows, business process models, mockups, wireframes, SWOT, MoSCoW, etc.)
· 84 months of experience working in hybrid Agile environment collecting, updating and modifying business requirements iteratively, identifying functional and non-functional requirements including dashboards and reporting, and creating artifacts including flowcharts, business process models, workflows, and data dictionaries.
· 60 months of experience in all types of functional application testing (including functional, non-functional, regressions, integration, UAT, etc.) This includes writing and executing various types of test cases, testing procedures & cycles, defect tracking, communicating testing updates, and ensuring requirements-based validation/testing is completed prior to final deliverable sign-off.
· 84 months experience in documenting requirements, acceptance criteria, epics, user stories creation, roadmap building, defect tracking, backlog management using Jira/Confluence or other BA and QA tools (please specify.)
· 84 months experience in providing business analysis and testing support for legacy systems/data migration and infrastructure upgrade projects involving cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, and/or custom development, configurations, troubleshooting incidents and quality assurance.
· 60 months experience in transforming paper-based processes into electronic systems involving case/incident management, digital information gathering, storage, retrieval, and transmission among different teams' having data submission, review and approval processes.
· 60 months of experience in working with relational databases and structured queries in SQL, Oracle, etc.
· Business Analysis certification such as IIBA – CBAP, PMI-PBA.
· Scrum certification such as CSM, Agile Coach, PSM or Product Owner.
Minimum points awarded if only one certification. Maximum points awarded if both certifications. 0 points awarded if no certification.
