SAP Finance Manager

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Will work with project team members and may act as Team Lead to ensure projects are planned, coordinated and organized to meet production schedules and end-user department requirements. Customer expectations and critical timelines are met or exceeded by properly managing and coordinating these high-level complex projects.
Works under the general direction of the SAP Finance IT Director.
II. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users and programming staff in the analysis, design, functional configuration, testing and maintenance of the SAP Suite of Products to support product development to ensure optimal system performance.
Interfaces with users to interpret and clarify complex functional configuration details and process change requirements involving all SAP Modules required to support manufacturing operations, with emphasis on SAP modules: Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Business Consolidations.
Oversees directly or functionally with other Software Analysts in a team environment to carry out software development and support functions.
Performs complex unit and integration testing for assigned modules, within multiple functional areas, from development to production.
Troubleshoots configuration, performs upgrades and functional changes to ensure optimum system performance.
Develops and proposes new ideas and advancements of new software concepts in support of Bourns corporate goals and objectives.
Interfaces with functional unit process owners and users to identify, define, and document operational needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of system access. Provides support in determining feasibility of a software and/or hardware system that fulfills requirements, are cost effective, business related, and operationally compatible, when necessary.
II. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (Continued):
Conducts, directs and coordinates efforts relating to special or assigned new software studies and/or evaluations.
Investigates, analyzes and evaluates in-house or purchased, developed, designed, implemented and/or operational packages and/or applications for overall department, inter-department, organizational and company effectiveness in satisfying short-range and long term goals.
Tracks and documents changes in complex functional and business specifications and writes detailed procedures that can be easily understood by end-users.
Trains users and supports training in the usage of the SAP modules, systems and functionality, specifically in the areas of Finance, Costing (Controlling) and Consolidations.
Maintains problems and project information in the Service Desk / Help Desk database.
Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners, functional and technical team members and users. Ensures all plans are clearly communicated with regular status reports and issue identification to business and IT management.
Is responsible for communication of operational documentation and processes to the IT Operations and Help Desk Organizations.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
III. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have the ability to communicate and operate in a team environment as well as provide project leadership to other analysts and assigned personnel.
IV. BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Communications or the combined equivalent education, work experience and skills in supporting and implementing financial accounting solutions in a Manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Systems and SAP.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) plus years' experience in SAP Business Suite modules, specifically using SAP General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets and Financial Consolidations. Working in an I.T. environment with some programming experience.
OPTIONAL EXPERIENCE : Knowledgeable with HANA and Ariba.
