Cloud Software Engineer, Lead Associate

Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking to add a Cloud Software Engineer to our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD! This Engineer will support one of our Cyber Missions and work to implement, tests, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security. Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise. Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation. Consults team members on secure coding practices. Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

Qualifications:
Position Requirements:

An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required

Five (5) years of expeirence as a software engineer is required

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field is required.

Minimally, the candidate should be skilled in Java, database technologies (MySQL Postgres etc) and have some experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies (such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig,etc)

Possess additional knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible

One of the following certifications required:AWS Certified Developer-Associate

AWS DevOps Engineer Professional

Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Elastic Certified Engineer

Target Salary Range:
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
