CG Life’s IT Manager is responsible for building our IT department, and reports to the SVP, Technology. This role requires the ability to turn working knowledge of current and emerging software and hardware technology into solutions for our company and clients. The IT Manager is expected to work closely with everyone from the executive team to junior level contributors to improve existing systems by holistically analyzing and prioritizing needs, budgets and constraints. The IT Manager is also charged with making sound recommendations for hardware upgrades, software updates, replacements, enhancements and more. Finally, they will lead system migrations as part of company integrations due to M&A activity, contract negotiations, purchases and installments of new or replacement systems. A true passion for technology is a must.

Responsibilities

Balance and maintain an ongoing, firm budget against scaling technological demands

Oversees all help desk activities for internal employees while maintaining an organized and effective help desk system

Leads the planning, implementation, upgrading and other modifications to the supporting IT systems and infrastructure

Maintain the integrity, security and continual operation of the organization’s network including support for remote employees

Perform routine vulnerability scanning, server and network monitoring with necessary alerts in place

Serve as primary contact with external vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major interactions

Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans

Develop, review, and certify all IT policies for the organization and ensure the organization complies with relevant IT laws and regulations

Create and maintain an IT knowledge base containing user guides, best practices and technical documentation

Support HR with the onboarding and offboarding process for both remote and onsite employees

Lead ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware, software and cloud-based services

Monitor and maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, equipment, security systems and facility

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

4 years experience with:

Administration of macOS and Windows workstations (company is 95% Mac users)

Operating an IT service desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues

Troubleshooting a wide range of IT problems (software, hardware, network, etc)

Administering Microsoft 365 based email and calendar systems

Implementing and managing MDM technologies including configuration, deployment and policy management

2 years experience with:

Installing and configuring hardware infrastructure such as switches and Firewalls

LAN, WAN, and SAN technologies

Managing SaaS platforms (e.g., Box, Slack, Figma, SmartSheets)

Excellent prioritization, time management and organization skills

Ability and willingness to convey concepts and solutions to non-technical team members

Analyze problems and offer multiple solutions

Work well across many competencies in a team environment as well as independently

Willingness to keep up to date with new technologies and advise on their applicability to the business

Preferred Qualifications

IT Project Management training or experience

Strong documentation and writing skills

Experience with:

Integration of systems and tools due to M&A activity

Managing the lifecycle of all hardware and software

Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services

Database administration and management

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
