Description

We are seeking an IT Systems Analyst for Bulk Materials. The successful candidate will oversee the technical aspects related to the operations of systems within our bulk material operations (Aggregates, Asphalt, Flyash).

Responsibilities

Process Analysis. Supports the Business Analyst in applying technology to effectively manage and improve the business processes tied to bulk materials.

 

System Security. Ensures the system is properly secured in terms of system breach/compromise prevention, monitoring, and incident response planning.

 

System Cost Management. Monitors, reports on, and manages system support costs. Works to hold support costs to a minimum while providing maximum value.

 

User Training. In the context of the initial implementation and ongoing utilization, works with the Business Analyst to ensure appropriate power user and user training is planned and provided to maximize system value in the context of business process.

 

System Value Proposition. Works with business analyst to monitor and report on system value in support of related business processes. Determines if continued ownership/use is justified.

 

Systems Installation.

Works as a member of the project as the technical lead in the installation of selected technical systems and solutions.

Works with IT infrastructure and IT platform services teams to integrate assigned systems as needed.

Documents as-built systems architecture and related standard operating procedures prior to production.

Works with IT support personnel to ensure they have the training and tools to support assigned systems prior to production.

Systems Management.

Conducts regular systems health reviews to identify possible issues before they occur.

Monitors systems performance for potential problems and proactively addresses them to prevent outages.

Keeps system components current and running efficiently and effectively.

Keeps system technical documentation and support knowledge base articles current.

Systems Support.

Trains 1st and 2nd level support analysts so that they can handle support calls.

Functions as 3rd level (escalated) support - resolving incidents for an assigned set of systems.

Manages the vendor support relationship for an assigned set of systems.
