Qualifications:

Extensive Experience: 5 to 7 years in Information Technology, specializing in test automation for UI and API layers.

Programming Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, C#, and Python, including scripting languages like Perl, Shell, and Bash.

Test Automation Expertise: Skilled in writing and maintaining automated tests using frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, and Karate.

Development Methodologies: Knowledgeable in Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with frameworks like Cucumber and JBehave.

Database Proficiency: Experience with SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).

Cloud Technologies: Familiar with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and container orchestration using OpenShift and Kubernetes.

CI/CD Integration: Proficient in continuous integration tools like Jenkins and CircleCI; adept at creating and maintaining automation test jobs.

Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with peers, business analysts, and subject matter experts.

Adaptability: Quick to learn new tools and evolving technologies; proactive with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the travel industry.

Infrastructure Automation: Experience with Docker, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform.

Non-Functional Testing: Knowledge of performance, load, stress, security, accessibility, and usability testing.

Test Management Tools: Experience with tools like VersionOne and qTest.

Responsibilities:

Automation Strategy: Design and develop UI test automation scripts using Cypress, Mocha, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Playwright.

API Testing: Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Cypress, REST-Assured, and Postman.

Cross-Platform Testing: Validate front-end applications across Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, and various browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).

Automation Framework Development: Create and enhance test automation frameworks, focusing on modular design and the Page Object Model (POM).

Continuous Improvement: Propose process improvements and build automated tools to enhance team efficiency and product quality.

Integration: Ensure effective integration of tests and infrastructure automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Agile Collaboration: Work within agile teams, contributing to all phases of the development life cycle while adhering to 12-factor application principles.

Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively to convey ideas and processes.
