Automation Engineer
Job Description:
* The Automation Engineer will work with Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams to deliver tailored software and hardware solutions for customers.
* This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, software updates, and ensuring equipment meets customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Customize crane controls using existing software modules.
* Support factory acceptance, commissioning, and lifecycle of material handling equipment.
* Modify PLC software to meet customer needs.
* Monitor and develop replacements for obsolete automation equipment.
* Resolve control/software issues by collaborating with engineers and service technicians.
* Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
* Previous experience working in the Manufacturing Industry
* Previous experience working with Siemens PLC and HMI programming experience.
* Previous experience as an Automation Engineer
* Knowledge of variable frequency drives and control systems for material handling devices.
* Familiarity with NEC electrical code and OSHA safety requirements.
* Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
