About the job
The Fraud & Financial Crimes R&D team is looking for a Senior Software Developer to advance our streaming data orchestration framework. Our team uses cutting-edge architectures and languages to deliver world-class software that is essential to the Fraud & Financial Crimes portfolio.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will:
Design, write, and revise program language code; actively solicit the involvement of other developers to ensure integrity and cross-product consistency
Lead development of individual product features; discuss technical and design issues with other developers, managers, product owners, product architects, and users whenever necessary to achieve optimal solutions
Participate in project scoping and tracking using the Agile methodology in a continuous delivery environment
Maintain ownership and accountability of code by verifying programming output in unit test cases
Work with usability and accessibility analysts and technical writers to meet corporate, product, and market requirements
Mentor junior team members
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
8+ years of experience with Go or Java programming languages
An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Knowledge of REST standards
Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment; familiarity with Git and Gerrit
Experience composing unit-tests and using unit-test frameworks
Preferred qualifications
Experience with streaming data systems
Experience with RedPanda Benthos or similar data orchestration frameworks
Knowledge of SAS Viya 4 architecture
Experience with user interface development, preferably React
