Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Position Overview

 

The Novelis Corporate Data Analytics and Insights team, located in Atlanta, GA is seeking Business Intelligence Manager. The BI Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the BI strategy using Power BI. The role will oversee the BI team and take the lead in building standard data reporting solutions using PowerBI and supporting technologies. With their in-depth analytical skills, the role will define the relevant working solution for the KPIs and metrics that bring the business story to life.

 

Along with business analytics, the BI Manager will also ensure that any designed solution is compatible across the spectrum of the tools that the DAP uses, and the solution is sustainable and maintainable for long-term.

 

Responsibilities

Leadership, Management and Governance:Develop and implement BI strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Drive development standards and best practices across business and IT functions to ensure a similar approach for each developed solution.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts and data professionals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and prioritize BI initiatives.

Create, contribute, and facilitate the BI and Data Analyst trainings to the business and IT SMEs.

Contribute into the overall Data Governance around data and reporting quality, access management and historical and retention requirements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across all reporting platforms.

Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

Engage with business leaders to provide the most capable visuals to convey the story using the data.

Collaboration and Communication:Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting the use of BI tools and data analytics.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

Present complex data findings to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Work closely with technical data modelers, data engineers and data scientists to understand and enhance the data models for optimal reporting.

Technical Expertise:Create reporting architecture and roadmap for Novelis, while working with the Enterprise Architecture team.

Execute proof-of-concepts to explore new features and different implementation methods to improve reporting efficiency, performance, and adoption.

Stay updated with the latest BI tools, technologies, and industry trends.

Manage and optimize BI tools and platforms, ensuring they meet the organization’s needs.

Implement data governance and security best practices.

 

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, with background in Mathematic and Statistics; Master’s or other advanced degree is a plus.

7+ years of experience in the Business Intelligence and data analytics,

Deep working knowledge of PowerBI, Databricks and SQL or similar platforms.

Proven experience in leading a team of developers and driving technical solutions.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
