Summary:
Summary
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Data and analytics team's vision by developing/maintaining reports, data models, and data-related processes. The role also ensures that business intelligence enhances business decision-making capabilities.
The resource will also be involved in all aspects of business intelligence development, including design, data modeling, implementation, and testing.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leveraging analytics and business intelligence, drive for value in a collaborative approach, and be willing to share best practices and mentor in a growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Empower business units to access and consume Greenbrier data.
Work closely with the Data & Analytics management in designing and building Greenbrier’s Business Intelligence platform.
Function as liaison between IT and users, utilizing both business and technical knowledge.
Collaborate with business units to generate relevant KPIs, dashboards and other visualizations.
Allow business units to self-serve their data needs from trusted data sources.
Respond to internal and external requests in a timely and professional manner.
Optimize solutions for performance and security.
Qualifications
The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year program, preferably in computer science or a related area of study or equivalent experience.
5+ years of enterprise-level report writing.
5+ years of Microsoft Power BI experience. Some experience with SSAS Tabular or Power Pivot development can count towards this requirement.
2+ years of experience in SSRS and/or Report Builder applications.
1+ years of self-service BI experience.
Ability to quickly understand complex data sets.
Data manipulation and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and concern for order and quality.
Good research skills, including talking to end users and product owners.
Advanced DAX/M experience.
Advanced Tabular modeling concepts.
Solid relational and non-relational database experience.
