9293 Automation Engineer III, Davie, FL, 6 Months

Sigma. Inc. is looking for Automation Engineer III to work onsite at a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in Davie, FL.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Core Essential skill sets required:

Min 3 years experience working with PLCs and SCADA. We need a strong background in PLC programming and SCADA systems as all our complex systems depend upon these components.

Background and experience in networking as we are interconnecting and adding equipment to the industrial network.

Experience in Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and project management would be a plus.

Candidate should have worked in a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical, medical devices),

BS in electrical engineering, computer sciences, automation, and controls with 5-7 years minimum experience

The main brands we work with include Allen-Bradley and Siemens Suites.

Duties and Responsibilities

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary.

Carries out responsibilities following the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.

Maintain documentation for all maintenance activities.

Able to use/navigate computer and computer-based software

Perform emergency and corrective repairs

Perform Preventive maintenance to keep the equipment in good working condition

Complete the installation or system modifications for all equipment and systems

Takes responsibility for improving skills and techniques

Assist with new equipment PM, LOTO development, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned or requested and complete them in a timely and detailed manner

Work with vendors on repairs and document that activity accordingly

Order parts and supplies for equipment

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Follows training or guidance provided by other team

Operation of Building Automation Systems for critical environments.

Recommend spare part inventories.

Comply with EHS and cGMP-related procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the position's requirements will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience :

Technical Degree

Looking for Someone with experience in Pharma GMP utilities (Purified water, HVAC, Compressed Air, etc).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Constant:

Standing for extended periods at a station or equipment.

Walking to move short distances and stairs quickly and frequently.

Using arms and hands to perform mechanical activities.

Frequent:

Stooping, Kneeling, and/or Crouching bending body, spine, and/or legs.

Twisting/Reaching turning at the waist and extending hands and/or arms in any direction.

Occasional:

Sitting for extended periods at workstations or mobile equipment.

Climbing use of feet, legs, hands, and/or arms to ascend or descend.

Crawling using hands and knees or hands and feet to move about.

Pushing and/or Pulling using upper extremities to exert force.

Grasping applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Repetitive Motions - frequent motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Lifting raising from lower to upper and/or moving objects horizontally up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs., and more than 50 lbs. (with assistance).

Visual Acuity:

Perform activities such as operating machines (i.e. lathes and drill presses) where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach.

Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, extensive reading, and visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at a distance close to the eyes.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Constant exposure to moving mechanical parts and/or moving equipment.

Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.

Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, and/or gasses.

Frequent exposure to vibrations.

Occasional exposure to wetness depending on the assigned process.

May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for the assigned process (i.e. safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
