Overview:
Lead technical efforts in the software development implementation, maintenance of data systems, and reporting systems and tools. Serve as technical expert and provide guidance to less experienced associates in the work group. Lead efforts to build data and reporting system using full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using tools like Tech Foundation Services (TFS) to collect requirements, write software, and perform unit testing, deployment to production systems, and maintain appropriate support. Lead team efforts to evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilize programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and assist with designing training materials. Design and execute test plans to validate application functions. Design modifications that fit within existing system architecture. Provide technical support to production systems by addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Develop technical solutions to unique system problems. Lead major projects, delegate tasks, and ensure quality results. Utilize expertise to mentor and train associates within the work group. Participate in special projects and meetings as needed to convey critical technical insight. Serve as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. Collect data related to user requests and determine scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspect business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Provide support during off hours when system maintenance or issues arise. Work with remote teams in different time zones. Provide 24/7 on call rotations. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy. The position is eligible for variable compensation which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.

Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as a Technology Lead, Technology Analyst, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

 

Position requires experience in tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS), or Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) to build data pipelines and reports for financial and leasing applications. Requires experience in programming languages such as Python, C#, .NET, ASP.NET Cobol, Visual Basic (VBA), Java, SQL Scripting, or Powershell Scripting. Requires experience in reporting tools including SSRS and Power BI. Requires experience with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools to document technical and business requirements. Requires advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system. Requires advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems. Requires in depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. Requires ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy. This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States

 

The base pay for this position is generally between $154,877 and $181,209. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
