TOP 3 SKILLS:
Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, wordpress, and other web technologies.
Proficient in Java, Python, AWS, and Django.
Familiarity with Sitecore
Nice to have: BigCommerce and/or eCommerce experience
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled remote Web Developer Consultant to assist our client in transitioning from their legacy e-commerce platform to a modern BigCommerce solution
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement multi-tiered web applications.
Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on requirements.
Work with other developers and business users to provide complete solutions.
Maintain a repository for all in-house and third-party software/customizations and documentation.
Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
Resolve software issues and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Ensure software issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Monitor outstanding service requests, patch applications, and associated testing.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Mentor and guide junior developers
SKILLS:
Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
Strong understanding of server-side languages such as Node.js, Python.
Experience with database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, etc.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS.
Proficiency in managing any eCommerce platform, such as BigCommerce.
Handon experience with CMS is a big plus like Sitecore.
Knowledge of web security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to understand, analyze, and convert the requirement into programs to provide business solutions
Good understanding of technical design document
High analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
EXPERIENCE:
At least 10 years of professional experience in web development.
Proven track record of developing and deploying large-scale web applications.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Should have worked with web services like SOAP and REST.
Experience with databases like MySQL and Oracle.
Any experience with CMS (Sitecore) and eCommerce (BigCommerce) is good.
Experience in creating technical design documents.
Experience in production support.
