Our client in the finance industry is seeking a Senior Cognos Developer to join their team. As a Senior Cognos Developer, you will be part of the Business Intelligence department supporting the finance and accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, be highly proficient in Cognos Analytics Application(s) end to end tool stack along with databases, SQL, and other supporting data tools, and be able to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Pay Range: $80-$85/hour W2 only

(due to client rules we are unable to work with 3rd parties; all candidates must be able work on Experis' W2)

What's the Job?

End to end Congos Analysis and Development working with stakeholders including the data / data team.

Apply data analysis skills for insights.

Map business processes and requirements.

Work within agile teams and contribute to all assigned SDLC life cycle roles.

Create user stories, and address deployment needs.

Collaborate with business and technical teams.

What's Needed?

Extensive and strong experience with Cognos BI and heavy databases.

Ability to build and maintain data pipelines and implement custom reports and BI analytics.

Experience with testing, validation, and development of relational databases.

Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft tools for document management and accurate data entry.

Financial Systems and/or Accounting business knowledge is a plus.
