IT Release Manager Only W2 (Citizen, GC, GC EAD and H4EAD)
Location: Chicago, IL(Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Candidate Preference: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Kennesaw, GA, or Chicago, IL
Work Authorization: W2 Candidates Only
Years of Experience: 8+ years
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Release Management: 7+ years of experience as a Release Manager, overseeing and coordinating software releases.
Project Planning and Execution: Proven track record in project planning, scheduling, and ensuring successful delivery of releases.
Agile/Scrum: Experience as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer, demonstrating a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
ITSM Tools: Familiarity with at least one ITSM tool, such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow.
Reporting: Proficiency in Tableau for creating and analyzing release-related reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
Release Planning and Coordination: Define and manage the release schedule, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT priorities.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with project teams, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth release process.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases, implementing necessary controls.
Deployment Management: Oversee the deployment process, ensuring successful deployment of releases to production environments.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of release management.
Agile Facilitation: Facilitate team planning ceremonies, provide guidance on Agile/Waterfall frameworks, and ensure seamless coordination across teams.
Reporting & Insights: Utilize Tableau to create reports and dashboards that track release progress, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights.
