The Role
At Living Room, the AV/IT Assistant Manager is responsible for managing budgets, oversight for all local IT requests, management of a team, coordination, oversight, and strategic guidance of the third parties. As the AV/IT Assistant Manager, you will have extensive technical knowledge of how-to set up, install, troubleshoot, and break down audio visual equipment including cameras, microphones, projectors, and monitors. The AV/IT Assistant Manager is also responsible for the management of scheduled productions, purchasing new equipment, monitoring existing inventory, and the day-to-day operations. The AV/IT Assistant Manager will also assist the Head of AV/IT with end user support, managing of AV and IT systems including but not limited to the networking systems, email system, app support, access control, security cameras. and AV and lighting control systems.
A successful AV/IT Assistant Manager will Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to understand AV requirements and design and implement AV solutions tailored to specific event needs, including sound, lighting, projection, and video. Lead the setup, operation, and teardown of AV systems for events. Supervision and scheduling of AV technicians and freelance or contract AV professionals, providing training and guidance on equipment usage and troubleshooting In addition to client billing and invoicing, keeping up to date on new technology and equipment as it's introduced to the market, and renting additional equipment when necessary for screenings, podcast recordings, or member/private events.
Essential Functions
AV/IT Assistant Manager
Ensure all users benefit from timely help, effective technology solutions, efficient internet access, and continually assess needs and requirements.
Organize support, troubleshoot, and coordinate repair of IT equipment and networks and AV systems
Establish relationships with technology partners, manage their performance, and understand how to use these partnerships to efficiently achieve business technology goals
Manage departmental budget and track spending on equipment and staff.
Maintain a thorough understanding of available technology and innovative research solutions and new releases.
Provide technical support to end-users and provide an escalation path for the support team.
Well versed in Apple products and iOS
Responsible for overseeing all audio-visual (AV) and technical operations during events, ensuring seamless execution of sound, lighting, video, and presentation systems. This individual will lead a team of AV technicians and freelance Av professionals, work closely with event planners, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, set up, and operated to meet the needs of clients and events.
Provide on-site client support during events to ensure satisfaction with AV services.

Technology Skills
Strong experience with macOS and iOS operating systems
Experience with macOS management software such as Jamf
Familiarity with macOS security Software such as VMware Carbon Black, Cisco Umbrella
Understanding of directory services such as Okta
Familiarity and understanding of networking concepts, strategy, and Cisco Meraki equipment
Familiarity and understanding of Windows Server OS and Amazon Web Services
Expertise in audio, video, and lighting systems.
Knowledge of AV control software and digital soundboards.
Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role or capacity.
Detail oriented and ability to multitask, under pressure and trouble shoot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Technically competent and confident to support the above technologies.
Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends as needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Science or related Degree preferred. CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or similar certifications. AVID, Dante, or other specialized AV certifications.
An essential part of the job is being available on a flexible schedule and being willing to work outside “office hours”. For example, nights, weekends and holidays (as needed and when applicable). This may or may not be required on a regular basis, but is mandatory when required by the business
