Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Selenium Automation Engineer (Python) for a short-term CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. This is a short-term contract position through the end of 2024, with the possibility of extension based on project needs. The position is fully remote, and candidates must be based in the U.S. working East Coast hours.

Responsibilities:

Develop Automated Test Scripts:

Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Python to validate the functionality of web applications.

Implement data-driven and keyword-driven testing frameworks.

Test Execution and Maintenance:

Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.

Regularly update and maintain test scripts to adapt to new features and changes in the application.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Defect Reporting and Tracking:

Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or similar.

Communicate findings to the development team and work towards resolution.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar to enable continuous testing.

Ensure test scripts are executed as part of the build process and provide feedback on build quality.

Test Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Document test results and provide regular reports to stakeholders on testing progress and outcomes.

Required Skills:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver.

Strong proficiency in Python scripting for test automation.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., PyTest, Unittest).

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
