IT Support Specialist

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Contract Length: 1 yr

Work Setup: Onsite with limited remote work flexibility

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our technical support team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive Tier 1 and 2 support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure excellent service delivery to our organization.

IT Support Specialist Responsibilities

Deliver Tier 1 and 2 technical support for software and hardware systems

Diagnose and resolve technical issues using established procedures

Perform root cause analysis and develop prevention protocols

Maintain knowledge and call tracking databases

Provide technical guidance and informal training to end users

Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive support coverage

Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives

IT Support Specialist Core Qualifications

3+ years of experience in IT support or related field

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, and Apple iOS systems

Strong understanding of networking architecture and protocols

Proven track record of excellent customer service and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Experience with information security concepts and principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Additional Requirements

Availability for 24/7 on-call support rotation (laptop and phone provided)

Physical ability to:

Lift up to 25 pounds unassisted

Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance (infrequently)

Stand or walk for extended periods as needed
