Spring & Struts Migration

RATE TO UCI: $115/hr

The JAVA Developer will be responsible for helping to migrate Spring & Struts framework- based applications. They also will be helping to enhance the application and fix cyber vulnerabilities as well as make it ADA compliant.

Scope of Work

The work will include but will not be limited to:

• Remediate static and dynamic Cyber vulnerabilities identified by Veracode tool scan.

• The work will include pending enhancement requests by end users.

• Migrate Spring and struts framework based multiple Java applications to latest version of Spring.

• Make application ADA compliant.

• The Java Developer will have a minimum of five years of Java development experience with Spring and Struts framework.

•The selected developer will perform unit testing, Quality Assurance testing and UAT testing remediation.

• The developer will be onsite at 150 Williams in downtown NYC at least 3 days a week.

Vendor Qualifications

This JAVA Developer must have the following skills and experience in JAVA application development:

• 5 years of experience with writing application software using java with Spring and Struts

framework, data analysis, application design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions.

• Specific expertise in programming in the UI development, Web environment utilizing Java, in- depth knowledge of web technologies, Angular, Micro Services, APIs, Java Script, Java Server Pages, SQL, Spring Hibernate, JPA and web services.

• Experience using JDeveloper, Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, development, programming, and implementation of IT applications utilizing java and relational databases.

• A minimum of 3 year backend experience with writing complex queries using SQL, Stored Procedures/Functions.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working with Web-logic 14C and or Apache Tomcat.

• Knowledge of dockers and Kubernetes (AKS) will have an added advantage.

• Must be well versed using DevOps and setting up CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Integration of BI Publisher reports with Spring based application is preferred.

• Experience in creation of design and technical documents.

• Quick to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic, work well within a team environment and with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and contributing estimates to the planning process.

• Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and work well under pressure.

Hours/ Shift:

Normal Business Days/Hours: Monday – Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm includes one-hour unpaid lunch) - 35 hours work week. The developer will be onsite at 150 Williams in downtown NYC at least 3 days a week.
