MAG is looking for a Software Developer, to develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment.  This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.  You will support the System Architecture Branch (SAB) team which is a government run organization that architects the development of software products supporting modeling and simulation (M&S) environments. The Synthetic Environment Modeling SEM product users include trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners.  All products are government owned, developed and managed.  The Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) is the flagship product. NGTS is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis and research and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:

Develop hardware and software models and simulations that support the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB). 

Design, develop, test, and document simulations in SysML Cameo System Modeler.

Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML diagramming skillsets while using aerospace system principles.

Work independently and with software development teams in support of customer training and demonstrations.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills

The required skills and knowledge include:

Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams

Basic understanding of aerospace systems principals

 

The minimum years of related experience required:

4 years Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering principals

 

Education

The minimum level of education required is:

BS in Computer Science or Engineering. Degrees in Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify as substitute.

 

Desired Requirements

 

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:

Experience with employing MBSE approach and tools (Cameo Systems Modeler Preferred).

 

Other Qualifications

 

Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
