Job Requirements / Description
New Flyer is seeking a talented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. You will work closely with the manufacturing team to optimize processes, ensure accuracy, and meet production targets.
Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
Set up and operate CNC machines based on program specifications.
Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory.
Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturing.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Experience with CNC machine set-up and operation.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong mathematical and technical abilities.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
