A large government client of Marathon TS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team for an exciting opportunity.
Education Required:
Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent; wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions
Technical Skill:
Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls. At a minimum, the candidate would have working knowledge of spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, and ip subnetting. Demonstrated experience for the design and execution of network engineering configuration changes and documentation in a complex IT environment.

Desired Skills: - Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls. - Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and wireshark. - Familiarity with SIPRNet, MDACNet, or other DOD networks. - Certifications such as COMPTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP. - Understanding of the project lifecycle, related processes, and traditional systems engineering skills. - Experience in reviewing work products produced by a team of engineers for quality, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and policies.
