Our Financial Services client is looking for a REMOTE - QA - Java/Selenium (UI/API Tester) to help out with some year end work.
Position Overview: As a QA - Java/Selenium (UI/API Tester), you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web-based and API applications. You will utilize your expertise in Java and Selenium to design and execute automated tests, validate user interfaces and APIs, and ensure the robustness of our transactional and workflow systems. Experience with large portal applications, especially within the insurance or e-commerce sectors, will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to validate UI and API functionality.

Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based applications and APIs.

Perform end-to-end testing of complex, large-scale portal applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and resolve issues.

Test APIs to ensure correct functionality, data accuracy, and adherence to business requirements.

Utilize testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

Document and report defects, provide detailed feedback, and work with teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Analyze test results, track quality metrics, and identify areas for improvement.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand transactional workflows and ensure comprehensive testing.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA testing with a strong focus on UI and API testing.

Proficiency in Java and experience with Selenium for automated test script development.

Solid understanding of web-based applications and API testing methodologies.

Experience with large portal applications and transactional or workflow systems.

Background in insurance or e-commerce sectors is highly desirable.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with additional testing tools or frameworks (e.g., JMeter, Postman).

Familiarity with financial services applications and domain knowledge.

Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools.

Compensation:$45 -$55
