JOB SUMMARY:
Client is on the search for a Senior Software Engineer based remotely, supporting either PST or EST time zones, with a strong focus on AWS infrastructure modernization and cost optimization. This role requires a proactive individual capable of auditing and optimizing AWS workloads, leading database modernization initiatives, and collaborating with teams to integrate solutions seamlessly. The successful candidate will play a key role in automating infrastructure provisioning, maintaining documentation, and providing advanced support for complex database issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optimize AWS resources to enhance cost-efficiency, including terminating unused instances and right-sizing.
Lead modernization projects for our database infrastructure leveraging AWS services.
Draft and communicate effective resource re-provisioning plans to teams.
Maintain detailed records of cost-saving strategies and their implementation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration of new solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 7-10 years of AWS experience.
Proficient in AWS Cost Analytics and infrastructure automation tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Optimize AWS resource usage to save costs
Experience with Graviton processors and their impact on database performance
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot advanced database issues.
