Senior ITS Engineering Manager

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) West Coast Engineering Manager to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, California.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage the ITS engineering staff on a daily basis throughout the West Coast

Lead ITS engineering projects and ITS design tasks throughout the West Coast

Lead marketing and proposal efforts for various ITS projects.

Be responsible for plan approvals.

Supporting a wide range of ITS projects for freeway, transit, traffic signal, safety, communications and tolling systems.

Experience with ITS Architecture and Systems Engineering Process.

Experience Communication Networks and Systems Design for data and video, both wireless and fiber optic designs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, AECOM staff, and the public in meetings and at public events as well as write concise and readable technical reports and documents

Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, and demonstrate effective time management skills

Provides guidance, mentor and coach to engineers, or technicians, to learn and improve their technical skills

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule.
