About The Position:

The Automation Engineer’s primary responsibility will be research, development, deployment, and management of business process automation solutions.

 

What You'll Be Doing

Identifies opportunities to increase efficiency, enhance processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and eliminate process waste by collaborating with key staff to understand existing processes and areas of need.

Designs, programs, simulates, tests, and deploys automated processes using various forms of technology, including robotic process automation (RPA) and scripting.

Responsible for all bots, scripts, and the work they perform throughout the entire solution life cycle.

Analyzes bots in production and adjusts as necessary to provide optimal efficiency.

Serves as the primary point of contact and SME for RPA and script troubleshooting when issues occur, identifies and documents root cause, utilizes best practices to ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of automated processes.

Ensures all requirements are captured, and a user story is completed for each respective requirement, such that each automation accurately and efficiently replicates existing or desired processes.

Serves as project leader and SME for organization wide automation projects that involve multiple functional areas and business units.

Serves as SME and mentor for Tier 1 & 2 support staff. Provides training and guidance to ensure timely and consistent resolution of RPA and automation issues.

Available after hours should an emergency arise.

 

Qualifications

Must be ready to think outside the box, challenge both self and the status quo, and turn ambiguity into opportunities to solve perplexing business challenges.

3-5 years of experience on an emerging technology focused team.

Familiarity with requirements analysis, use case mapping, flowcharts and other techniques used to determine and map process flows.

Skills & Competencies

Proficient with Azure AI Bot Service, Power Automate, other automation tools and platforms.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems and familiar with dev ops, agile, and other SDLC methodologies

Proficient in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).

Motivated to stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and strategies.

Adept at change management process in support of infrastructure solutions and operational changes.

Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.

You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Anything above 40 pounds requires a team lift.

Compensation & Benefits

$84,000 - 117,000 per year

Compensation is dependent on experience
