Senior SAP EC Payroll Lead - US & Canada Year End Support

Position Overview:

Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants under our SAP practice  

Responsibilities:

Help create and maintain a blended holistic year-end project plan, notating both ECP standard steps, Client standard steps, and one-time changes needed for YE 2024 (US including Puerto Rico and CAN). 

Note dependencies and effort. 

Ensure all appropriate parties are made aware of what's happening and when things are needed, with time to execute. 

Keeping plan updated and adjusting as needed based on changes, and communicating those changes in organized manner. 

Build, lead and drive fully vetted testing plan including all changes, standard YE steps and leading up through execution of first Jan payroll in test environment

Tech environment - full refresh, dates, etc

Monitoring and ensuring correct order of events in test environment and through to production

Communication and control

Maintain standard process for testing and sign-offs, and go-lives

Test Systems connected (UKG, EC T4, ECP CE3)

Keeping test environment "pristine" to allow for first Jan payroll run for US and CAN

Weekly status reporting and dashboard

Hosting weekly/daily project calls /daily workstream leads

Leaning into workstreams and helping provide organization and ensure execution, as needed

Required Qualification(s):

3-5 years of SAP/ECP year end technical experience 

Standard YE tables to update, timing (US incl PRI and CAN/QC)

Tables including both for YE statement generation and also prepping for new year

XML schemas needed for T4 and RL1 

Be able to quickly support YE issues that arise

Coordinate/provide guidance to AMS team as needed

Provide support to set up US Tax reporter

Ability to Project Manage and follow a project plan

Ability to function at a high level in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Excellent analytical skills

Excellent organizational skills

Duration: This is a project-based consulting opportunity with an immediate start date thru February 2025 , with the possibility of extending.

Level of Effort: 40 hours per week

Working Hours: M-F, EST/CST
