Title - Mid-Sr Level Java engineer
Locations : Seattle, WA only - hybrid - 3 days in office per week
Duration : long term role
will need to complete a Glider test
Opening / Selling Statement: Our client is seeking an Mid-Sr Level Java engineer for engineering and delivery microservices and API's to support Customer Data. The team supports various mid-layer services across the organization and to external partners and is seeking a strong Java Engineer with cloud experience.
Best qualified candidates will have strong experiences in Java 8+, Cloud, Containerization, Data Streaming, and Agile/Scrum.

Job Duties -
" Be an active participant in all scrum ceremonies and lead in the delivery of the strategic roadmap.
" Help define project scope & specifications, and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution.
" Ensure that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development teams and monitor timelines & progress.
" Propose technical solutions.
" Delivery of well-designed, high-quality, fully functional, properly tested features, fixes, and enhancements.
" Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and support.
" Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
" Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
" Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
" Provide subject matter expertise and direction, guidance, and support on complex engagements.
Job Requirements -
5+ years' experience with Java8
3+ years' experience with Springboot
2+ years' experience with Containers (Docker and orchestration, ie: Kubernetes or EKS or Redhat)
Strong understanding of HTTP/REST and OpenAPI docs
Experienced with at least one test framework (jbehave, cucumber, selenium, junit) is required
Experienced with Agile/Scrum methodologies (backlog refinement, standups, retrospective)=
Desired Skills & Experience -
Streaming: Kafka, Kinesis, and Event Hubs are strongly desired
Datadog or New Relic a plus
Elastic Search a plus
Apigee a plus
