JOB SUMMARY:
Join the unparalleled Metadata Authority Engineering team, a cornerstone of the Media Engineering organization, fueling the magic of our entertainment and sports technology with precision. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our content metadata management systems, ensuring unrivaled content representation on streaming platforms. This role is for a visionary software engineer eager to revolutionize streaming video by delivering scalable, well-architected systems and robust solutions that reshape viewer experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement scalable systems for managing content metadata, including APIs for ingestion, retrieval, and manipulation.
Lead the technical design and delivery of new features, ensuring code is maintainable and scalable.
Collaborate on project phasing and delivery, working closely with managers, team leads, and Technical Project Managers.
Proactively identify and implement improvements in systems and workflows.
Adopt a user-centric approach to optimize our content management systems and data flows, ensuring robust testing practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in Java, Python, and use of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres).
Solid understanding of AWS technologies (Lambda, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, etc.).
Experience with event or pub/sub-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
