The Financial Systems Analyst is a member of the Master Files team performing client, matter, and timekeeper maintenance. The person selected will work closely with Accounting & Finance staff, especially with Billing Coordinators and the eBilling team, to maintain the overall setup and accuracy of the firm's financial data. This person will also recommend and implement best practices in maintaining the integrity of the client, matter and timekeeper data in the firm’s financial systems.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert regarding the firm’s master files in the financial systems
Supervise the Master Files inbox requests to assure that requests are handled and properly completed on a timely basis
Ensure timekeeper billing rates and alternative fee arrangements are accurately set up in the accounting system, documented, and can be reported on
Review/interpret client terms and ultimately communicate those terms when needed
Translate engagement terms and billing guidelines into system configuration to minimize billing discrepancies, errors, and delays
Assess change requests for validity, approval when required, and adherence to any existing client or firm guidelines
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Three (3) years’ experience or more in a financial systems or related role preferred
Law firm experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required#LI-Hybrid
