Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking an individual contributor for the development support organization of the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program who will work on the software installation team. This is part of the Navy's Tomahawk Missile program. This position is located in Santa Clara, CA and will have the ability to be a hybrid role and support both on/offsite.
Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include: mission planning; data distribution; strike planning; rehearsal; coordination; strike execution; monitoring; control; strike reporting; communications configuration; data management; delivery.
What you'll do:
Perform software installations as an individual contributor and train others
Install and upgrade computer operating system software, plan and coordinate installations or upgrades with the development and test teams for classified and unclassified lab environments
Install the latest TMPC application software in development and test environments at the Santa Clara, CA facility
Install systems per written procedures and provide redlines to technical publications for continuous improvement
Conduct customer and partner installations at the Santa Clara, CA facility
Inform internal customers of activity status and variances to schedules, using Kanban boards, emails, etc.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures
Help plan for future needs of both software and hardware
Communicate effectively with various teams to ensure lab environments are running as expected
Provide and/or validate estimates for assigned tasks
Conduct installations at customer and partner sites as required
Qualifications:
What you'll need:
Education: BS/BA and 5 years, MS/MA 3 years, 0 years with a PhD or 10-12 years experience in lieu of a degree
Systems Administration expertise
Working knowledge of PC client/server hardware,virtualization, Hyper-V, RHEV, VMWare, or equivalent
Clearance: Active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one, US Citizenship required
Ability to track multiple schedules and complete tasks in a high quality and timely manner
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Ability to operate under changing priorities based on operational requirements
Understanding of software development activities and methodologies, including Agile development practices
Preferred experience:
Experience with scripting, automation tools (Ansible, SolarWinds)
IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
Knowledge of networking software and protocols.

Target Salary Range:
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
