Position Summary

Installs and supports software systems. Provides technical assistance and training to system users by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:
Monitors support tickets and assists end users in resolving support incidents. Reviews open tickets to ensure appropriate priority and service level are maintained.

Works with IT Support Analysts to help solve more in-depth problems.

Installs hardware and peripheral computer components.

Monitors business critical systems and takes corrective action to ensure system up time.

Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, database, or spreadsheet programs into computer.

Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.

Instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals.

Coordinates activities with Manager ERP and Application support.

Performs root cause analysis and provides recommendations to Manager ERP and Application support to correct problems.

Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.

Interviews users to collect information about problems and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.

Determines whether problem is caused by hardware such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone.

Logs and tracks calls and maintains history records and related problem documentation.

Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom or recommends outside contractors to provide training.

Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment.

Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Minimum, Associates degree from a college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer Skills                                               

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Including the following platforms; Windows Servers, Windows Desktop, OS400, Linux, Android, IOS, LAN & WAN topologies, VOIP.
