Description:
CTG is seeking a Jr. Performance Tester to work hybrid in NYC. This is a long term W2 contract (could be contract to hire).
Duties:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing objectives and requirements.
Develop a comprehensive performance testing strategy and plan.
Design and create performance test scenarios based on application requirements and usage patterns.
Determine appropriate load levels, concurrency, and transaction volumes for test scenarios.
Develop test scripts and define workload models for performance tests.
Configure and set up the performance testing environment to simulate production conditions accurately.
Ensure hardware, software, and network configurations meet performance testing requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to ensure a holistic approach to performance testing.
Communicate performance test plans, progress, issues, and results to stakeholders effectively.
Utilize performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) to conduct tests.
Provide recommendations for performance improvements based on test results and analysis.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize code and system performance.
Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards during testing activities.
Maintain detailed documentation of performance testing processes, test scenarios, scripts, and results.
Skills:
Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter and Grafana.
Experience with Azure Web Tests, AppInsights Automated Web Tests, Azure DevOps, and Azure Test Plans.
Familiarity with API testing concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Experience:
Proven experience in performance testing within an Agile project environment.
Experience creating and writing Performance Test Plans.
Experience executing test cases/scripts and developing detailed test cases from business requirements.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps Work Item Tracking and Pipelines.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in performance testing or quality assurance are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
