Senior DevOps Engineer
The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be an integral part of the DevOps & Release engineering team. You’ll get the opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, iterative, and rapidly changing environment. You will work closely with engineering teams, to coordinate incident response and build and maintain DevOps implementations by utilizing modern tools. You will also work with on-prem enterprise infrastructure teams, to maintain and support on-prem non-production and production infrastructure. As a senior member of your team, you will guide junior engineers and help develop their technical skills.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role
Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
Strong experience with DevOps tools e.g., Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, Docker
Experience writing Python, Gradle, Groovy, and shell scripts
Experience with logging and monitoring systems
Experience in building and deploying API proxies.
Good understanding of API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Statum, AWS API Gateway, etc.).
Monitor and optimize API performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Knowledge of security standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
Basic knowledge of managing and deploying Java web applications
Experience with databases and SQL
Work well with Enterprise infrastructure teams, to upgrade and patch on-prem infrastructure
Seek out opportunities to develop and improve existing automation processes
Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and Security findings with engineering teams
Passionate and committed to learning new tools and develop with the latest technologies and frameworks
Solid analytical and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time
Strong organization skills and attention to details
Networking and Infrastructure experience is a plus
