Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division is seeking a Network Security Manager on a large network services opportunity supporting the Health Agency in Montgomery County, MD. The Network Security Manager (SM) leads a network security and performance management team supporting a large Agency enterprise network system. The scope of work for the team includes sustainment of multiple security-related services and devices. It also includes installing, configuring, and managing a very large suite of network tools. The SM reviews and implements security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and ensures that the network infrastructure environments are secure. The SM will work directly with the Program manager, operations and architecture team leads as well as Agency leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support to the health agency in MD.
Prioritize, assign, and oversee completion of security and network performance engineering staff tasks.
Ensure that operational security objectives are being met per customer’s expectations.
Perform project planning and estimating for new security tasks as requested by the customer.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for incident response and other security-specific SLAs.
Ensure delivery of reports and required security section contractual documents.
Implement and maintain the program cybersecurity plan.
Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.
Coordinate with the program Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure that IT security audits are conducted on schedule.
Provide operational oversight, coaching to team leads, mentoring to junior staff, and succession planning for the program.
Develop employee base to achieve high degree of employee retention and performance.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline OR possess one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCNP, CCIE Certification.
8-12 years of Network Security experience for large enterprise network and security services.
Five (5) years experience in leading teams of 5-15 security analysts and system administrators.
Knowledge of network security technologies including firewalls; Web Filtering; Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS); Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS); Network Access Control (NAC); Domain Name Systems (DNS); Application Delivery/Load Balancing; Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate Management.
Experience supporting System Accreditation and Authorization activities.
Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with customers and internal management.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience using ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management
ITIL 4 Foundation certification
Good understanding of network devices and software
Experience working with VMWare vCenter
Experience with ScienceLogic SL1
