Job Description:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

Key Responsibilities:

Training and Development:

Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal teams, contractors, and clients on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems.

Create and update training materials, including manuals, videos, and online resources, to reflect the latest industry standards and technological advancements.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance metrics.

Technical Support:

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and installation assistance for HVAC/R equipment, including diagnosing and resolving issues with refrigeration circuits, components, and controls.

Offer on-site technical support and guidance for complex issues that cannot be resolved remotely.

Serve as a subject matter expert for advanced technical questions and provide detailed explanations to field personnel.

Documentation and Reporting:

Generate and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, best practices, and case studies.

Document all interactions and technical issues in the call-tracking database, ensuring accurate and thorough records for future reference.

Analyze trends in technical issues and training needs to identify areas for process improvement and update training programs accordingly.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on product performance and suggest enhancements.

Lead initiatives to streamline technical support processes and improve overall service delivery.

Conduct regular reviews of technical support operations and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored technical support and training solutions.

Facilitate workshops and seminars to share industry insights and best practices with clients and partners.

Foster strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and other personnel to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.

Travel and Field Work:

May require some travel as needed less than 15% of the time.

Participate in industry events and conferences to stay current with market trends and advancements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager to support departmental and organizational goals.

Adapt to evolving job requirements and contribute to various projects or initiatives as needed.

Assist with special assignments or cross-functional tasks based on business needs and priorities.

 

Qualifications:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in HVAC/R technical support, installation, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and components.

Experience in training or educational roles, with the ability to create engaging and effective training programs.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in using technical support software and databases.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in HVAC/R technologies (e.g., NATE, EPA).

Experience with digital learning platforms and e-learning content development.

Previous experience working in a field technical trainer role.
