Senior SAP EWM Specialist

Job Summary

As a Senior EWM Specialist, you will be a key member of our global team of SAP specialists, which together share the responsibility for implementation, maintenance, support of our Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to deliver tailored EWM solutions in challenging projects that streamline operations and enhance the overall supply chain performance at "client ".

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Senior SAP EWM Specialist reports directly to the Head of Product Applications IT/SAP located in Switzerland with a dotted line to the Head of IT, Americas and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on EWM functionality all phases of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of solutions as well as documentation and end-user training,

Participate or even lead/architect complex configuration, customization and implementation of SAP EWM solutions based on the requirements of our process experts.

Together with fellow EWM Specialists covering our 3 global regions you will be one of the key players in continuously developing further template warehousing solutions according to upcoming business requirements and in close alignment with SAP's development roadmap and best-practice integrated into client's SAP landscape.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EWM with other supply chain systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and TMS (Transportation Management System) which are all on SAP S/4 HANA.

Develop and execute test plans to ensure EWM systems meet quality standards and client expectations and fit our global template approach.

Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support system adoption and knowledge transfer.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex EWM issues, leveraging your deep understanding of system architecture and logistics processes, review gaps and the solutions design.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in EWM and warehouse management technologies, such as mobile device and printer solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience (4+ years) in implementing and supporting SAP EWM solutions (decentral, embedded), ideally within a consulting or corporate environment which includes minimum 2 full cycle end to end implementation + roll-out experience

Experienced with EWM requirements gathering, preparation of functional specification document. Should have supported Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), executed data migration and user training in EWM implementation and rollouts

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics processes and warehouse technologies

Expertise in EWM configuration, including warehouse structures, master data, RF frameworks and additional (integration) knowledge with SAP ERP/modules MM, SD, PP, QM, TM, GTS

Pro-active and drives for results: demonstrates deep understanding of customer expectations and end user needs; dedicated to exceeding customer expectations; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Encourages thoughtful risk taking to advantage innovation: comes up with a lot of new and unique ideas, ability to influence and position new ideas, initiatives and innovations; tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings

Problem solving skills: looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answer, probes all fruitful sources for answers, can see hidden problems, walks the extra mile

Relevant SAP certifications preferred; basic knowledge of ABAP / ABAP OO (reading/debugging) would be nice to have, as well as UI5/Adobe Forms capabilities

Bachelors Degree in relevant field strongly preferred

Readiness for global travel (estimated 20%)
