GDIT has an opening for a Functional Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Enterprise Service Desk. In this position you will utilize your analytical and communication skills to integrate new platforms and processes to VA Enterprise Service Desk. You will have the opportunity to hone and develop your communication skills through written and oral communications to internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
HOW A FUNCTIONAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Data Collection / Documentation and Analysis:
Facilitate Discovery Calls to gather information for new Process Integration opportunities.
Develop VISIO process flows for the “To Be” state, in coordination with VA personnel, the Process Integration team, Subject Matter Experts and the Knowledge/Training/Operation Management teams to ensure a seamless transition to the Service Desk.
Gather and analyze data related to process performance, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain a risk register that track and prioritizes identified risks.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Maintain a Virtual Task Board to ensure accurate tracking of Process Integration efforts.
Interface and collaborate with VA personnel and other vendors to ensure seamless operation and data flow across different departments or functions within the organization.
Collaborate with other departments including IT, operations, and management to align process improvements and integrations with overall business goals.
Coordinate testing and validation of process changes and system integrations to ensure they meet business requirements, potentially involving simulations or pilot programs.
Collaborate with other departments to manage risk-related matters.
Coordinate Operational Readiness Reviews to ensure that process changes and system integrations function as expected.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
BA/BS and 2+ years of related experience or equivalent years of experience
Active ITIL v4 certification within 30 days of hire
Experience in Microsoft Project or similar technologies
Experience in Visio or similar technologies
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust with the VA
NICE TO HAVES:
1 year or more of experience on the VA Service Desk
Experience in risk management

The likely salary range for this position is $53,703 - $72,657. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
