Job Title: Solution Architect/ Cyber and IT Risk Self Control Assessment Specialist
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Pay range: $60 - 65/hr
Location: New York City, NY
Work Type: Hybrid, 1 day a week in the office, Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Job Description:
About the Role:
As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will identify, assess, and mitigate cyber and IT risks, evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, and recommend improvements to enhance our security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and assess potential cyber and IT risks.
Evaluate existing controls and recommend improvements.
Document and report risk assessment findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Monitor and review controls to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
Conduct training and awareness sessions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in incident response planning and investigations.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are preferred.
Proven experience in risk management, cybersecurity, or IT audit.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Applications Portfolio Management experience.
Ability to define application assessment criteria.
Proficiency in automation tools.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of cyber and IT risk management frameworks.
Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Resilience.
Adaptability.
Education:
Post-secondary education in a related field.
Experience:
Strong Excel experience and prior experience working with a large-scale financial institution or bank.
