Job Requirements / Description


Ensures that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's Engineering guidelines and specifications, industry codes and standards, and regulatory agency requirements to meet necessary functionality and performance requirements.

Performs review of the drawings on impacts to pipeline facilities and provide outline to encroachment agreement or letter of no objection which incorporates specific conditions and/or requirements.

Prepares project scoping, cost and schedule estimating, evaluation of alternatives, preparation of bid packages, procurement, permit coordination, contracting, initiate and manage AFE for assigned projects.

Plans, organizes, and manages multiple projects that range between $50K to $3M that entails pipeline modifications and/or adjustments, installation of any protective devices, directional drilling, lowering and abandonment of pipelines.

Provide technical support to land and operations department including engineering evaluations & recommendations for pipeline crossings & protection.

Perform pipe stress analysis calculations for new road crossing over existing pipelines, seismic operations, blasting & construction induced vibrations calculations, hydraulics, hydrostatic testing, max. allowable span lengths.

Prepares project completion reports including construction material inventories and as-built drawings.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Civil or Mechanical preferred).

8 or more years experience in project engineering and project /construction management in the pipeline or utilities industries, and facilities or plant construction.

Must be a strong problem solver with strong technical knowledge of pipeline adjustments and protection, pipeline engineering and project management.

Excellent team player with strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word.

Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers at all levels within the organization.

Ability to travel up-to 25% domestically required.

Demonstrated ability to prepare facility/pipeline project cost estimates, project schedules, conduct scoping/feasibility studies, and manage projects.
