Responsibilities:
Peraton will deliver a broad-spectrum centralized IT infrastructure, services, and processes to include Cybersecurity Task Order (CTO) compliance activities for the USSOUTHCOM networks to include three enduring Joint Task Forces (JTFs) and multiple Security Cooperation Office(s) (SCO). Our team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOUTHCOM missions. Peraton will ensure that all required capabilities meeting the USSOUTHCOM’s mission and those of its various mission partners, to include, but not limited to, other DoD organizations, other U.S. Federal and state government agencies, and foreign government military and non-military mission partners.

Primary responsibility:

In this position you will provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.  Plan, organize, and direct the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of Southcom’s network infrastructure. 

Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, network security, telecommunications systems and service desk. 

Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, wireless.

Responsible for keeping track of the day-to-day operation of the clients networks, making sure they are secure and running efficiently.

Ensure the NOC provides exceptional service to our customer as it operates 24/7/365, manage the shift schedule to ensure the NOC shifts are adequately staffed to address contract requirements, and manage (resolve or escalate) incidents and/or issues.

Ensure the NOC Team works collectively to operate and maintain the Network and ensure the requirements for performance and stability are achieved (Service Level Agreements), allowing our customer to meet our business needs.

Manage NOC Tier 1 & 2 teams and the Wireless team that support Network Operations.

Manage the NOC Tier 1 & 2 Analysts responsible for monitoring network services and responding to events and alarms, supporting the incident management process, including defining the impact, properly escalating, and resolving incidents.

Manage the NOC Tier 1 & 2 Analysts Analyst to make sure NOC provides support for service and change requests for a highly critical and dynamic WAN/LAN/MAN environment.

Ensure the Tier 2 Analysts plan and execute security remediations and OS upgrades to network devices.

Qualifications:
 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

Minimum 12 years of related experience may have supervisory or lead experience  Additional applicable education may be acceptable in Lieu of experience

TS/SCI clearance

4 to 6 years experience working in NOC environment providing Tier II support.

DOD 8570 IAT2 compliance

Routing and switching/Firewall (FW)/load balancing

Working understanding of the OSi model Layers 1-3

Working knowledge of TCP/IP and the functions of NW technologies.

Working understanding of NW security devices, IPsec VPNs, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VRF, VLANS, Bandwidth Utilization, and Load Balancers

Candidate must be capable to setup tools and capture, mine and interpret data from Wireshark, Syslog, Netscout, and SteelCentral to maintain and restore overall network health

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco Switches and Routers

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco ASA Firewalls

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing F5 Load Balancer devices

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and writing FW rules, NATs, and IPsec communications

Ability to managing, auditing and deploying Network device configurations via HPNA

Experience in the use of trouble ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.

Candidate must demonstrate understanding of Incident, Change, Problem and Request management practices

Target Salary Range:
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
